5-Day Budget Safari to Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro

After breakfast, embark on a game drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley. This beautiful park, with its lush vegetation and tropical forests of giant fig and mahogany trees, is home to a rich variety of bird life and wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and various antelopes. You may also see monkeys and a large population of hippos. If you're lucky, you might spot the tree-climbing lions of Manyara. Spend the night at a camp in Manyara.

Following breakfast, drive to Southern Serengeti via Ngorongoro. Depending on the time of year and the location of the Serengeti Great Migration, you may have the opportunity to witness the migration and its associated predators. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a camp in Seronera, central Serengeti.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, followed by brunch. Depending on the season, you may stay in the Seronera area of the Serengeti or head to the South Serengeti/Ndutu area if the migration is nearby. In the late evening, drive to a camp near the Ngorongoro Crater.

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater spans about 10 miles across, covering 100 square miles and reaching depths of 2000 feet. Despite seasonal migrations, there is always an abundance of wildlife due to the year-round availability of food and water. Expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Enjoy lunch in the crater before returning to Arusha in the late afternoon for a debriefing with a Maxmilian representative and onward schedule.
