Nyerere National Park, formerly known as Selous Game Reserve, is home to a vast and diverse array of wildlife, including a significant population of elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and endangered wild dogs. The park is also frequented by leopards, rare sable antelopes, zebras, hyenas, kudus, lions, bush bucks, impalas, warthogs, ostriches, giraffes, and elands. With over 400 species of birds, including vultures, fish eagles, kingfishers, secretary birds, sunbirds, hammerkops, storks, weavers, and water birds, Selous is a great place for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts alike.

Enjoy an early-morning stroll along the lakeshore through the wilderness with a knowledgeable local guide. Later, head to Mikumi National Park with packed lunches. 

Start your day with a delicious breakfast, then head out on a thrilling game drive in Mikumi National Park, also known as "The mini Serengeti". Explore the vast open spaces and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, spotting animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Keep an eye out for lucky sightings of lions and leopards, and enjoy the diverse birdlife.

After lunch, drive to Udzungwa National Park (1.5 hours), part of the Eastern Arc Mountains. This unique park is known for its forest trails, waterfalls, and endemic species. Hike to Sanje Waterfall, enjoy a picnic lunch, and explore the park's natural beauty. Accommodation is available within the park.

The next morning, you will set off for Ruaha National Park, passing through the picturesque valley of the Great Ruaha River and marveling at the majestic baobab trees that line the way. You will stop at the historic Isimila site, a relic of the Stone Age, before continuing on to your accommodation in Ruaha. 

Your day will start with a thrilling early morning game drive, followed by breakfast. Next, embark on a journey through diverse habitats, abundant with a wide range of animals, birds, and breathtaking scenery along the Mwagusi Sand River and Mdonya River. Take a break in the bush, and then continue with more game viewing until sunset.

Ruaha National Park is renowned for its exceptional diversity of wildlife, particularly its high concentration of big cats, surpassing other parks in the southern circuit of Tanzania. The park provides a habitat for majestic lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as a variety of other species, including bat-eared foxes, jackals, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, hippos, and a wide range of bird species, plants, and reptiles.

On your final day, bid farewell to the park and make your way back to Dar es Salaam, stopping for refreshments and lunch in Iringa and Morogoro along the way. Upon arrival, you'll be dropped off at your chosen destination, bringing your adventure to a close.
