Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti

Kilimanjaro and Masai Tribe

Start your journey early from Arusha, enjoying a picnic lunch between 7:30-8:00 am. Drive towards Serengeti via the rim of Ngorongoro crater, covering approximately 270km to the main gate of Serengeti, arriving late afternoon. After a lunch break en route, continue your journey to Serengeti, with an optional opportunity to explore the Maasai local culture (usually charging $20 per person). Upon reaching Naabi Hill (Serengeti main gate), your guide will handle paperwork briefly before embarking on an evening game drive and later transferring you to your accommodation within the park. Accommodation: Inside the park, full board.

Day 2: Serengeti full day

Set out on an early morning game drive to witness nocturnal animals returning from hunting and the awakening of lions at dawn. Throughout the day, encounter a plethora of wildlife including buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, and many more. Spot various bird species such as secretary birds, black eagles, ostriches, etc. Enjoy the option to return to your accommodation for lunch and relaxation or continue with lunch boxes for a full-day game drive. Accommodation: Inside the park, full board.

Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Depart early from Serengeti towards Ngorongoro Crater, retracing your route through the Serengeti main gate before reaching the entrance to the caldera. Descend into the crater, marveling at the diverse wildlife within its floor. Known as "Africa’s Eden" and the 8th Natural Wonder of the World, the crater houses an array of animals including buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, wildebeest, and lions. Witness the endangered black rhino grazing in the morning mist. After exploring the crater, return to Arusha for overnight stay and dinner, or alternatively, be dropped off at Lake Manyara/Arusha Airport for a flight to Zanzibar. Note: Flight arrangements should be made in advance, with recommended drop-off times between 1:00 to 2:30 pm for Lake Manyara Airport and 4:30 to 5:30 pm for Arusha Airport. These timings ensure a well-fitted schedule.
