6 Days Shira Route

Similar to the Lemosho route, the 6-day Shira Route commences at 3,600 meters, making it less suitable for novices to high-altitude trekking. Beginning at Shira Gate, the journey progresses to Simba Camp on day one, merging with the Lemosho Route on day two at Shira Camp 2. The elevated starting point poses a challenge as altitude sickness may onset from day one without sufficient acclimatization time. The route traverses the Shira Plateau with various possible routes. The route is less used, offering a less crowded experience for the initial two days compared to other routes.
